About me
Evie Ellen Lippens, born in 1995, Belgium.
She received her master's degree from KASK - School of Arts Ghent (BE) in 2020.
Evie’s work embodies a strong contrast between simplicity and calmness,on the one side, and complexity and movement, on the other. She wants to focus the viewer’s attention on the small moments of daily life. Yet, these moments can often elicit a strong emotional response. The creation process of Evie is strongly influenced by inspiration from her environment, social dialog and her own experiences. For this Evie likes to employ on different media, challenging her own artistic practice. The viewer is taken into a journey of discovery, fascination and reflexion in this subtle way.
